I tried Christian Science for physical healing, to please a dear friend, and found it to be the way to Life, —the way to know God and man's relation to Him. It has taught me, as the psalmist has said, that "the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether," and that "in keeping of them there is great reward." My reward is an awakened spiritual consciousness, in whose light I see Life as God, the divine Principle of all being. My reward is also physical healing in renewed eyesight. After wearing glasses for some years, and suffering constant pain, I was obliged to give up reading, sewing, etc. After the first treatment in Christian Science I was glad to discard the glasses, and when in a few more treatments the pain was banished to return no more, I was eager to understand the Principle of so great a work. Now, in freedom and comfort, my eyesight serves every need.
Renewed strength and vitality is my daily reward, for I had suffered extreme weakness for many years. I was always discouraged when I tried to keep pace with my friends in the daily walks of life. I find the LessonSermons to be veritable daily bread. With Science and Health to explain the Bible, it has an entirely new meaning to me, —the spiritual meaning. I now consider the Bible the most interesting, most fascinating, of all literature. I am very grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, —grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, —grateful that I have been turned about and have joined those who are on the great highway that leads to all that there really is,—to Life, God.
