AMONG THE CHURCHES

The members of the congregation of First Church of Christ, Scientist, held their first services in their new quarters in the Sternberg Building yesterday [Dec. 1]. These quarters have been beautifully and are exceedingly attractive. The attendance yesterday was quite large, some one hundred and fifty being present. This new church has reason to be proud of its growth and its success in this city.—The Daily Herald.

The Christian Science Church has fitted up the room in the Masonic Building formerly occupied by the register of deeds for its meeting-place. The room is one of the most prettily and tastefully decorated in town and is an ideal place for the meetings of this body, which has grown wonderfully in Newton the last few months.
