Myself and wife have been members of a Christian Science church for about fourteen years, and during this time we have used no material means for overcoming disease, but until now it has never occurred to me to give any of our experiences for publication. In 1900, when our oldest boy was about six years old, he fell from the second story of his uncle's house, then in course of construction, a distance of sixteen or seventeen feet. He was carried to his home, a short distance away, and promptly called for Christian Science treatment, having known no other means of relief. Both arms seemed to be very severly injured, but the pain was shortly over-come and the child never lost one night's sleep from this accident. Neither arm was bandaged, but for a few nights a piece of cardboard was tied on the right arm, which was bent, to project it while the boy slept, the same being removed in the morning. In a week or ten days the left arm was well enough to be used somewhat, and in about three weeks the crooked arm became straight and natural. People who knew nothing of Science had expressed the opinion that a hard lump which had formed on the right arm would not go away; but it did, leaving no trace. My early thought in the matter had been to have a physician set this arm, but the child was progressing so rapidly that it soon became evident that Truth was doing the work. It was also said that the arms would not be strong again, but this delusion was dispelled. A few months ago a little son was born in our home. Truth being the only physician. The early disorders of infancy have been removed, the baby has been natural and well, so much so as to attract attention.

I have found Christian Science of inestimable value in business. Until a year and a half ago I was interested in the retail business, and many perplexing and annoying experiences have been handled by the truth. I have never lost a day from my work through sickness since taking up Christian Science. I apply my religion to my business and do not know what I would do without it. After studying this truth for so many years I find myself more interested now than at any previous time.
