I am happy, indeed, to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. Five years ago I was a great sufferer from female and bladder trouble, together with other ailments. I was unable to take rood or station my feet without terrible suffering. I was attended by three of the best physicians obtainable, and they told me that if I would submit to an operation I would be a well woman ; so with this assurance I was taken to the hospital, and there two operations were performed. After both of these were over I could see no benefit at all, and was taken home almost in despair, as I grew weaker each day and could get no natural sleep. In this condition I turned to Christian Science, and commenced taking absent treatment, I also procured a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which I read as much as was possible in my weakened condition. I was greatly benefited at once, and after the first treatment I partook of a hearty meal with no bad results, and was instantaneously healed of bowel trouble. The other troubles did not yield so quickly, but have gradually disappeared until now I am able to do all my own work and take long walks. We have been wonderfully helped in financial way, as well as spiritually and physically.
I thank God with all my heart, and dear Mrs. Eddy, for all that Christian Science has done for me.
Mrs. Loretta Short, Los Angeles, Cal.
