The head of the Christian Science Church offers to make a donation for education of the people in the principles of that faith—a movement that has accomplished marvelous results in the very few years since it was first started. It has been the victim of incessant ridicule and denunciation ; but its adherents rapidly increase, and even among those who have hitherto denounced it there are efforts making here and there to "adapt the best features of Christian Science" to the work in other churches in the Protestant communion.
