It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I send this testimony. Christian Science was first brought to my notice about four years ago, by a dear friend who had been healed; but I was not willing to give up my medicine for two more years, during which time I was having the best medical attention I could secure. My husband started West with me two years ago in July, hoping that a change of climate would help me, and after having visited all the most desirable places without finding relief, we went direct to Los Angeles for Christian Science treatment. My brother's wife, who had been healed of a severe ailment, took me to her practitioner. I had seventeen treatments, and was perfectly healed of all my ailments. I had been a great, sufferer with nervous and stomach trouble, also liver trouble with its accompanying headaches, disease of the bladder, etc. On account of weak eyes I had worn glasses for five years, and I had not fully recovered from an attack of fever which I had two years before, during which time I was sick eight months—in bed about five months. I could not resist the heat of summer, and was often a victim to colds, because I always feared changes of weather. Of all these troubles I am healed, and I have not taken any medicine since; indeed I have never even been tempted to do so, for I had lost all faith in drugs before I accepted Christian Science.

I was in such a wretched condition when we went West that many of my friends did not expect me to return alive, but thanks to our heavenly Father I came back well. Until my friends learned how I had been healed, and I was able to prove it, there were no other Christian Scientists here, but I have been able to place twenty-two copies of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" in homes, and the interest is growing steadily. Since last November we have been meeting on each Sunday morning in our homes to read the Lesson-Sermon, and we feel very much benefited thereby. I have had some beautiful demonstrations of healing, and I am so glad that I am able to help others. All this has been wrought by divine Love.

For my physical healing I am grateful, but it is not to be compared with the benefit I have received spiritually. I had been in an orthodox church twenty years, but was never fully satisfied. I would express my gratitude to God, and to our dear Leader, who made this healing possible. God will sustain her in every hour of trial.
