I had been an invalid for sixteen years, having severe nervous trouble with other complications. I had tried all available material means, including operations with all the horrors which accompany them, but no help came. Finally, five years ago, a friend asked me to try Christian Science. I was desperate for help, and said, "Yes, anything!" A practitioner was at once sent to me, but my healing was slow. For the help of others who may be discouraged by what seems to be slow healing, I will add that I am truly grateful for this, as I had to give up the intense longing for physical relief and seek the spiritual uplifting before I began to gain my freedom. I was under treatment for two years and a half, and am very thankful for the great help and comfort received during that time.

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for all that divine truth has done for me. I have found it the ever-present help at all times. To Mrs. Eddy I am profoundly grateful for the many blessings which have come to me and to my family.

Ida Hill Stewart, Berkeley, Cal

I am very thankful for the health and happiness which in the past two years have come into our once sad home, through the study of Christian Science. Medicine, travel, and three operations had failed to help me. I tried many doctors and different climates, but did not find any relief from constant suffering. In Science I have been cured of a serious throat trouble, a badly sprained foot, headaches, and many other ailments which were my constant companions. I am very thankful that I lost no time in criticising, but asked for treatment at once. I had been a great sufferer for twenty-eight years, but the joy and peace that have taken possession of me are more to be thankful for than even the freedom from pain. My husband's father was a physician, and we disposed of what was literally a small drug-store, to which we had always gone for relief from physical ills. I am thankful for the help that Christian Science has been to my daughters in their school work, and our family of four are happier and healthier than before we knew of this truth. I am thankful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, for having been enabled to overcome my fears.
