THINE IS THE KINGDOM
We are learning as we progress spiritward what a wonderful statement is that of Christ Jesus in the concluding words of the Lord's Prayer, "Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever." The spiritual sense of these words is given in Science and Health, p. 17, as follows: "God is infinite, all-power, all Life, Truth, Love, over all, and All."
How inspiring to know that God, good, is infinite! The declaration of Christ Jesus is that there is no end of good for us here and now. We have but to open our eyes to behold it, but to open our hands and God will give it to us, but to open our homes and each nook and corner is flooded with good. With this understanding our entire being and its every activity expresses good; for it is God's will that each one of us should manifest peace, harmony, contentment, and joy, because good has no limits. Our God who is all-good is also all-power; therefore evil, sin, sickness, weakness, and weariness are without any power whatsoever. They are nothing except as we make them something; hence Paul declares, "There is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God." The following verse in our Hymnal is well worth committing to memory:—
