My mother became interested in Christian Science when I was very young, and I do not remember the time when the truth did not meet all my needs. Whenever any sense of sickness has presented itself, it has been quickly overcome through the loving help of some friend or member of my family. For this I have always been grateful, but not until recently have I realized that true gratitude should be manifested in deeds, and that it is for each one to do his own work in Christian Science. Since my awakening to an appreciation of this fact I have made some demonstrations for myself, and though they have been small, they have given me courage to go on. I realize that it is a very great privilege to have grown up in the understanding of this wonderful truth, and my desire is that my life may show the gratitude I feel for Christian Science, which Mrs. Eddy has given to all the world, that they may understand and live.
