"Your boy's eyes have been put out by a powder explosion!" was the exclamation of the crowd that had gathered about the house to which I had been called by telephone. On entering the house the dreadfully burned and blackened face of my son said he was blind and disfigured for life, but I turned away from the material evidence, denied mentally the terrible law I had been admitting for my son, and as I realized the truth fear left me. For three days his condition seemed very dreadful, but at the end of eight days, through the understanding of Christian Science, the wounds were healed and the sight perfectly restored. One of the marvels was his entire freedom from pain. Do I believe that Christian Science treatment saved the child from being blind and disfigured for life? I answer, I not only believe, but know, with the positive, intelligent assurance which enables a student of the science of mathematics to say that he knows how a problem has been wrought out,—I know and say with the same assurance that Christian Science, as taught in the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, did heal the wounds, banish the pain, and save our boy's eyesight. I shall be pleased to answer any inquiries as to particulars in this case.

In deepest gratitude I thank God, and our beloved Leader, for the light of Truth which shines through the dusty myths of a dogmatic past.
