In 1904 I was in a critical condition with a complication of diseases. I tried several doctors, but they did not heal me; so I quit doctors, and turned to God for healing, as the Bible says we should, and with this resolution I became stronger. Soon after I was handed a copy of Science and Health by a dear good woman. At first I was afraid to read it, for fear it would lead me astray, but I kept on reading and asking God to lead me aright. This good woman then asked me to take Christian Science treatment, which I did, and became strong enough to do all my work. I went on reading Science and Health, and later, when I began to have the old trouble, I had a few treatments; but with a careful study of our text-book and the Bible I was enabled to overcome nearly all sense of my ailments, and as I gained the spiritual understanding my health increased. In March, 1906, I gave birth to a fine baby girl, and during my confinement I was under absent Science treatment. The birth was almost painless and I was up the next day. The baby is now nine months old and has never taken medicine of any kind. I have had many beautiful demonstrations of the power of Truth. Words are inadequate to express my thanks to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, for what has been done for me.
