The Daily News

The people of this city have had ample chance to learn something of what Christian Science is; something of what its professors believe and something that comes from their belief. We have had for years a band of this sect with us. We know every one of them intimately. We know what kind of people they are; we know how they do business seven days a week; we know what kind of neighbors and friends they are—but perhaps we do not know, all of us, the real essence of their creed. Judge Wm. G. Ewing of Chicago was here yesterday, and in the Potter Theater gave an address that was a marvel of consistency and interest. We are glad to lay before our readers an epitome of what the gentleman said.

[Here followed some extracts from Judge Ewing's lecture.—Editor Sentinel.]
