Words fail to express my gratitude for the many blessings which I have received through Christian Science. I had trouble with my eyes for many years, and was obliged to wear glasses constantly, and the time came when I could not see very well even with them. I then consulted two prominent oculists in Boston, each one telling me that both eyes were seriously affected, and that the only help for me was to have an operation. In this hour of sorrow a friend asked me to try Christian Science. When I went to a Christian Science practitioner it was not considered safe for me to travel on the cars alone, as I could not read even the names on the cars or on the train boards at the stations. After two months' treatment I left off glasses, and have never worn them since. I can see to go anywhere; I have no pain in my eyes, which are now full, bright, and wide open. I do not sew very much, but I do considerable writing, and read coarse print. I know too that there is a gradual improvement.

I was also a sufferer from asthmatic trouble for fifteen years. By advice of my physician I moved from an inland town to be near salt water, but did not receive much benefit from the change. For four years previous to my coming to Science I was obliged to remain in the house most of the time during cold weather, but since my first treatment I have gone out in both cold and stormy weather. There was a steady improvement, and in a short time I was healed. There were certain localities where I could not go and remain even a few days without having an attack of this trouble, but since my healing I have visited one of those places with no symptom of the ailment. For more than twenty years I also had trouble with my heart, my physician saying that the trouble was organic, and he did not give any encouragement that I would be helped. At times it caused me much distress, and I was almost daily reminded of it, but I now praise God that I am healed. A painful lung trouble and a severe hoarseness were both healed in one treatment. Physicians had told me that I had several well-defined diseases, all of which were of several years' standing, but in a very short time they were healed through Christian Science.

God has greatly blessed me, both spiritually and physically, and with heartfelt love and gratitude I wish to render unto Him thanksgiving and praise. Divine Love has drawn me to Christian Science, and I know God as a present help in every time of need. His promises are very precious and they are for me. I have an increasing love for His Word as I understand it better. I desire to do all I can to further the Cause of Christian Science, that others may know the power of Truth to make them free, and I wish to express my thankfulness to Mrs. Eddy for all of the blessings which have come to me through her teachings.—C.
