I feel that I must express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me and mine. It is a little over five years since I turned to Christian Science for help, after all material means had failed to cure me. We had traveled from place to place, I had undergone an operation, had tried many doctors, and they had pronounced the disease incurable and said there was no help for me. The last doctor to whom we went said I could live only a few months at the most. It was at this time that I asked for help through Christian Science. The practitioner assured me that God could heal me; but this was hard for me to believe, as I had prayed to Him and had come to think that if there really was a God He would not let me suffer as I did. I had been a member of an orthodox church for several years, but had never known what it was to feel well. As there was nothing else to be tried but Christian Science I took treatment for several months and read Science and Health. In a little over a year I was perfectly healed, and have been well ever since. A little more than a year ago a baby was born to us and I was in bed only one day. The birth was almost without pain, and the baby is a picture of health and the joy of our home.

We have had many beautiful demonstrations of the healing power of Truth in our home—being a family of five—and we rely absolutely on God as our Physician. My husband has been healed of a supposedly inherited tendency to severe headache, from which he had suffered all his life before coming into Science. The tobacco habit also has been overcome. For these and many other blessings we are truly very grateful for the teachings of Science and Health, and also for learning that there is a God and that He is a God of Love and sends nothing but good to His children. I thank God for giving us such a dear, patient Leader,—one who has brought this freedom to mankind. I thank Mrs. Eddy for giving us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
