It is with a feeling of deep gratitude that I make known...
It is with a feeling of deep gratitude that I make known the wonderful blessing I have received through Christian Science. For over two years I have been studying and enjoying the rich treasures of thought and experience found in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." It encourages and strengthens me every day. Before I accepted Christian Science I had been a sufferer for over fourteen years from heart, kidney, and stomach troubles, also from extreme nervous headaches. I was in a hospital for a month, underwent a severe operation, and was an invalid ever after. Sleepless nights and restless days added still more to my distress. Eight doctors were unable to ease my constant suffering, until my case was finally considered hopeless. One of my doctors, however, suggested Christian Science, but after my healing, failed to recognize the source of my help.
Christian Science found me on my bed, awaiting death as my only relief, but within half an hour after the practitioner called I was up, dressed, and helping to prepare dinner. My friends and neighbors considered my healing a miracle, and for some time could hardly believe I was the same woman. Now I am doing all the work for a family of five, and I grow stronger every day, knowing that divine Love does keep and care for me. Words cannot express my thanks for being so lovingly led out of doubt and gloom into a clearer understanding of man's true relation to God as His child. I should estimate the amount expended for doctors' services and drugs at eight hundred dollars; while my treatment in Christian Science was free, as I had then no money to offer.
