I desire to express my ever-increasing sense of gratitude...
I desire to express my ever-increasing sense of gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to me, in leading me out of the darkness into Truth's eternal day, enabling me to understand the Bible and to know and to love God. When I realize what Christian Science really is, and what it has done for me, my gratitude is unspeakable. For twelve years I had been a great sufferer from all kinds of stomach trouble and attacks of bowel trouble. I had eminent physicians all over the country; one physician, who has a world-wide reputation, did not allow me to eat any fruit or vegetables for four years, and for three years I was not allowed to drink any water; but with all these restraints I obtained only temporary relief. After coming into Christian Science, this trouble was healed instantaneously. I now am free and eat anything I desire.
About five years ago I met with an accident which caused a severe injury to my right leg. I had been under a physician's care all this time, and was compelled to use remedies and bandage the leg continually; but the excruciating pain I suffered is indescribable. When Christian Science found me I had become greatly discouraged; and I am very happy to state that in less than three weeks of treatment I was completely healed of this injury.
I am profoundly grateful, both to God and to our beloved Leader, for the many blessings that have been brought to me through this blessed truth, and I can pay my debt of gratitude only by living the life of a true Christian Scientist.—Jeannette H. Jones, New York, N. Y.
