I am indeed thankful for even the small knowledge I have...
I am indeed thankful for even the small knowledge I have of Christian Science; it has often helped me to see the unreality of evil in many ways. Two and a half years ago I was healed of a very bad case of kidney disease. I was in a terrible condition, but divine Love was my shepherd, and gave me an understanding of Truth. I suffered greatly at night, until I had treatment by a dear Scientist, which brought speedy relief. The trouble seemed very stubborn for the first few days, but when the fear was met it soon left me, and in two weeks from my first treatment I was well. I have not had any return of the disease, and thanks to Christian Science I have had better health than ever before. About two months ago my little girl, five years old, had a serious attack of fever; but I had no fear, and asked my wife to help me realize the truth, and that she would be all right. We put her to bed, and gave her treatment, and an hour later she was free; the trouble had been met. In the morning she had no fever, and in two days she was herself again. Words cannot express my gratitude to God, and to our beloved Leader for Science and Health, through which I have gained an understanding of this great truth. I am certainly waking from the mortal dream, to find that God did create all things good.
Oscar D. Sires, Charleston, S. C.
