In returning thanks for the help received in Christian Science, I am reminded of former experiences. At the birth of my first child I suffered terribly. Two doctors were in attendance, instruments were used, and the baby was stillborn. With my second child I was also under the physician's care, and again instruments were used, with the result that the baby passed away the next day from the injuries sustained. Later, when I saw before me the prospect of a similar experience, my mental anguish and dread were very great; but three weeks before my third child was born, a friend told me of Christian Science, and I got a copy of the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and began to study this book and to take treatment, with the result that I was delivered in a short time and with very little suffering. I got up a few hours afterwards, feeling well and strong, everything being so different from the other two experiences, when my suffering was terrible and left me weak and helpless. I might add that this third boy was and is perfectly healthy and strong. I had no doctor at the time of his birth. Words cannot express my gratitude for Christian Science and what it has done for me.
