I rejoice in knowing the care of our Father-Mother God...
I rejoice in knowing the care of our Father-Mother God for all His children, in knowing the faithfulness of His Son, Christ Jesus, who taught us about that divine care, and I also rejoice that because of the thorough apprehension of that teaching by Mrs. Eddy, the truth was again demonstrated in the speedy healing of a sudden and very violent attack of bowel trouble. The sufferer, my husband, has for many years been subject to this form of disease, so much so that up to the time of our introduction to Christian Science, about three years ago, we never dared to be without a bottle of medicine close at hand. When this attack made its appearance, however, I am glad to say that the medicine-god had been so far dethroned that it never once suggested itself to our consciousness, but that instead there was present a strong realization of the power of Truth. We were ready to see that some undetected phase of erroneous thinking had reached its confines and was shattering itself against the impregnable Rock of Truth, and that divine Love would be more than conqueror in the field. The visible effects of such reasoning were not long withheld; the pain abated, then disappeared; the temperature and other conditions became normal, and the sweet "taking of rest in sleep" quickly followed.
For this demonstration of the truth I am deeply grateful to the great and only Cause of all true effects.
Mrs. Annie Scott MacLeod, Brooklyn, N. Y.
