My Dear Mrs. Eddy:—I received the most interesting history of the Congregational church at Concord, read it, and hasten to return it, as Mr. Tomlinson requested. It reflects, as Mr. Tomlinson says, the kindly feeling toward you in your community. In my opinion it does more, for it is the admission of respect of one church for another, and the recognition of your own sincerity and purity of your life.
