For a long time I have wanted to express publicly my gratitude for the great benefit I have received through Christian Science. It is now over three years since I became interested, when visiting Kansas City, through seeing a friend who had been in bed six months under medical treatment, healed perfectly in three weeks by the truth. I had been a sufferer for ten years; had been examined by nine prominent physicians. All said that my trouble was nervous, but not one could help me. On my return to New York I visited another surgeon, who said he wanted to watch the course my trouble took, and that I should return in two months. I went home disheartened by the physician's verdict. Later I thought that as my friend had been healed in Science, why could not I also be healed? That evening I went to church, and through a friend was introduced to one who afterwards became my practitioner. I started treatment the following day, saying to her that I had no faith. While my healing was slower than that of my friend, it came, and I can never forget the joy I felt when late in the autumn I knew that I was entirely healed. I never could express my gratitude for my healing, and now that I am again in Kansas City I feel I must let my friends know of my freedom, and also of my gratitude to God for this wonderful help.
Edith Benjamin, Kansas City, Mo.
