The psalmist says, "I will offer to thee the sacrifice...
The psalmist says, "I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving.... I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people." While on my way to a street car I felt a strange sensation in my leg, and as I took the next step I sank to the ground, unable to bear the weight of my body. Being but two blocks from my home, assistance was rendered me, and on reaching the house I had to be carried up the steps. I was suffering from pain and faintness, and a Christian Science practitioner was called. My husband, who is a druggist, upon examination said the injury was such that it would be necessary to use a rubber bandage and keep my foot from the floor for some weeks. The friends about me were apprehensive of severe complications, as in the next twenty-four hours fever and symptoms of blood-poisoning were manifested; but my confidence in the healing power of Truth never failed me, and in less than a week I attended the Christian Science service, going up a long flight of stairs without discomfort. The healing was quick and permanent.
With renewed gratitude and loyalty to our dear Leader, whose loving unselfishness for the Cause of Christ was revealed to me in her Message of 1900 to The Mother Church, I consecrate anew my love and willingness to follow where she leads.
Mary Alice Brigham, Columbus, Ga.
