I am very grateful for all the good which has come to me...
I am very grateful for all the good which has come to me through Christian Science, and although I am but just beginning to understand it I should be glad to give a testimony of what has already been done for me. I had always been delicate, and when I began the treatment a year ago I had been suffering for sixteen years from the results of an enlargement of the knee-joint, complicated by general weakness. In fact at one time it was supposed that I would always remain lame. I had gotten over that, but the least over-exertion, a dampness, or cold, or anything and everything, would bring on the most intense and unbearable pains, which no medicine or medical treatment had any power to alleviate. The drugs, even chloroform, which seemed to be effective for a time, then became useless, but Christian Science treatment and the reading of Science and Health have cured me. I am more active than I ever was before. I take no precautions and yet the pains have disappeared. I am changed otherwise, too; I feel so much happier, and I am trying to lead a better life.
While there are other ailments of which I am not entirely rid, I feel encouraged to work on, for I know that all things are possible to God, and to Him I am truly grateful. I am also very thankful to Mrs. Eddy for her wonderful book, which has been such a help to me.
