I wish to acknowledge what God has done for me...
I wish to acknowledge what God has done for me through Christian Science. About two years ago two ladies came to live with us, and gave me some Christian Science literature with an earnest request for me to read it. I looked over the Sentinels, but being a confirmed skeptic I did not take any interest in them at the time. There was, however, something that I could not get away from, and I was led to read them again. It was then that the light came, and I wish I could express in words even a small part of my gratitude and love to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science, as it has healed me of a number of very serious ailments. I had been operated on for hernia and other troubles, being in a hospital several times, and spending a large amount of money to little or no avail. I was also healed, in the truth, of the tobacco habit of forty-five years' standing, also of profanity. My eyesight is wonderfully improved. I had been almost tempted to leave this world, but I found that God would change my thoughts if I wanted them changed. Everything moves in harmony now; I love to work, and I love everybody. I cannot fully express my thankfulness for the many blessings which this truth has brought me, besides restoration to health. I find that Christian Science helps me in all my daily affairs, and that it is a duty I owe to God and my neighbor to make this acknowledgment of what it has done for me.—E. E. Roundy, Everett, Mass.
