After suffering "many things of many physicians," for...
After suffering "many things of many physicians," for seven years, I was given up to die. My illness was called a complication of diseases by some of the doctors, but all agreed that should I live I could never be strong again. In 1891 Christian Science was brought to my notice by the healing of an aunt. I did not think then that it could help me, for I thought God had forsaken me. In the month of July I was in a very weak condition, having one sinking spell after another. After regaining consciousness one day, I saw a Christian Science tract lying on the pillow. I read a few lines, quoting the Scripture, "All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." I closed my eyes and asked God to heal me in Christ's name, and I was made whole in that moment, so that I arose and said to my husband, "I am well—God has healed me." I was so happy in going about and looking after my house and children,—something I had not done for seven years. I am indeed grateful to God, and to our dear Leader, for the many blessings which I and my family have received through Christian Science.
Mrs. Carrie M. F. Weeks, Loon Lake, Wash.
