Christian Science was first presented to me in June, 1897, at which time I was suffering intensely from headaches and serious trouble with my eyes. From my youth up I had been thus afflicted, and had consulted several doctors, but could not get relief. I went to the best oculist here and he gave me treatment for months. I had finally to resort to morphine, and had to increase the dose until it took three grains to subdue the pain. All this time I was under treatment with the oculist and he said the only thing left was an operation on my eyes. I asked him what would be the result if I did not have it, and he replied, blindness. I could not make up my mind to have an operation performed, and turned from him thoroughly discouraged and disheartened.

It was at this time, when I was almost a mental and physical wreck, that I turned to Christian Science for help, was healed in the first treatment, and have never had a return of the trouble. The following winter I broke my glasses, which I had worn constantly for twelve years. It is now seven years since I gave up their use and my eyesight is perfect.

Words fail to express the freedom that I feel through this wonderful healing which has been wrought through the power of Truth, and my heart goes out to God for His great love in revealing to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, this blessed truth as taught in Christian Science.
