When our little boy was three months old he was taken sick with some trouble of the stomach and there was an entire stoppage of the bowels. Everything that three doctors could suggest was tried, but he grew worse instead of better. At the end of six months he weighed only six pounds. The doctor allowed us to give him only a few spoonfuls of milk at intervals of three hours. At this time a friend told us about Christian Science, and as we felt the baby had only a short time to live we consented to try it. We sent for a practitioner at once; she treated the baby, and then gave him his bottle of milk. He emptied it and cried for more. We were afraid to give it to him, but the Scientist assured us we need not be afraid to give him anything he needed, and he took the third supply. He then went to sleep and slept five hours. From that day he improved so rapidly that at the end of four weeks he weighed eighteen pounds. This healing was done nearly three years ago, and to-day the child is a healthy boy.

We feel very grateful to God, and to our Leader, for we know that nothing but Christian Science could have saved him. Some people remarked that the baby was as good as raised from the dead. —Mrs. John Reid, Palo, Ia.
