About four years ago I first heard of Christian Science. I had about reached the extreme end of materiality, and doctors and medicine seemed to do me no good. I was in a darkened state of thought, suffering from several diseases; tired and weary of sin and its consequences. In this condition I learned of Christian Science, and when I understood even a little of this blessed truth, I realized that "the old man with his deeds" must be put off; and that I must learn of the spiritual man. The liquor habit and the tobacco habit both left me. They disappeared as though I had never been subject to them. I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for this wonderful teaching, and for what it has done for me and mine. Friends and relatives also have been healed and helped. I am thankful for the literature, as it is a great aid to me.
