Prior to my healing through Christian Science I had...
Prior to my healing through Christian Science I had rheumatic trouble for twenty-six years and very distressing female trouble. I was practically an invalid for over ten years, and during that time was almost constantly under the care of a physician. Besides having medical treatment I tried baths, hot springs, etc. While having medical treatment I was attended by six different doctors, and in all spent between four and five thousand dollars. In the fall of 1900 I was examined by physicians in Joliet, Ill., and in South Bend, Ind., who said I had an abnormal growth, and declared I could not live another year unless it was removed by an operation. I then had to decide between the operation and Christian Science treatment, which I did in favor of the latter. In December of the same year I began the treatment, and after two months of Christian Science help I was completely healed of all these ailments. In May, 1901, one of the doctors who had previously examined me admitted my healing. For the past four years I have been in better health than ever before in my life; can now do things which never before seemed possible to me.
I am deeply grateful to Christian Science for the health and happiness which I now enjoy, and shall ever thank God for His wonderful revelation to this age through Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader.—Mrs. Mary J. O'Neill, Joliet, Ill.
