SALVATION
Behold, now is the accepted time ; behold, now is the day of salvation.
St. Paul.
No one phase of religious effort has been so persistently prosecuted as the endeavor to fathom what is termed "God's plan of salvation." Christian Science, knowing as it does the present and eternal perfection of God and His manifestation, affirms most assuredly the fact of universal salvation. Salvation from what? What is it that needs to be saved? Has God caused or even tolerated a condition from which His children need release? Has anything in His immaculate Creation, and under the control of His omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent care and guidance, degenerated? Has man, God's image and likeness, fallen? This form of inquiry might be continued ad infinitum.
