Our daughter was more or less of an invalid for eight...
Our daughter was more or less of an invalid for eight years. An attack of lung trouble left her very frail, and was followed by a serious condition of one limb. She went to Idaho Falls, and would go to the hot springs for ten days at a time, but this resulted in little or no improvement. Finally she returned home and accepted the position of assistant principal of the high school, but at the end of three weeks she came down sick. As soon as she was able to travel, we sent her to a hospital in Minnesota, where she was examined by several doctors. Their conclusion was that she had heart trouble, and a growth coming in her neck. In addition to this she had had asthmatic trouble for years. She finally told her mother she would rather die than live.
At this time a friend interceded for her to have Christian Science treatment. We consented, and she took a single treatment. She left here on the noon train, and returned in the evening of the same day. She brought home with her a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and has been an attentive reader of it ever since. It is now about two years since she had treatment, and she has not taken any medicine since; the diseased limb is now as large as the other, and she does not limp or have to drag one foot in going upstairs; in fact, she says she is well. The growth has disappeared. She is now teaching elocution. I look upon this great change in her health as nothing less than miracle and wholly due to Christian Science.—William H. Parker, Lawler, Ia.
