The Lectures

A good audience heard the lecture on Christian Science given at the Auditorium last night [September 14] by Bicknell Young, under the auspices of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of this city. Mr. Dell Keizer introduced the speaker of the evening, and spoke in part as follows : —

Never were dogmas and creeds so unimportant and unnecessary as now. The only religion which meets the accepted idea of true Christianity at the present time is that which practically applies to every-day life and work the gentle, loving spirit and teachings of the lowly Nazarene. under these conditions, in little more than thirty years, a very great company of people have accepted Christian Science as the true religion of Jesus Christ. Everywhere you find them ready to stand up and testify that through it they have found not only "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding." but health, happiness, and even life.

These are signicant facts, and they bespeak for the distinguished lecturer who will address you on Christian Science to-night, the earnest consideration which his subject deserves. —Topeka Herald.
