I was healed by reading Science and Health. I had been in poor health for years when my husband's health began to fail. He was a man weighing over two hundred pounds, and by the time five different physicians had pronounced their verdict upon him he had five different diseases. The last doctor said he had Bright's disease. In speaking of it to a friend, she told us about Christian Science, and left her copy of Science and Health with me to read. This was on a Sunday evening, and I became so interested that I went to the following Wednesday evening meeting with her, and purchased a copy of my own. To me it was the truth for which I had been looking all my life, and it filled a long-felt want. I then got a Quarterly and began studying the Lesson-Sermons and attending the services regularly. Inside of three months my husband and I were both healed.

Through the study of the Christian Science Bible Lessons, I was healed of stomach trouble and sick-headaches of years' standing. My husband came home one evening with a broken finger. We tied it up and he slept fairly well with it the first night. In one week's time he took off the wrapping, and in two weeks it was entirely healed. This trouble was met by the understanding of Truth, as we found it in Science and Health, for which we are very grateful to God, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who so patiently shows us the way.
