I had for eight years been troubled with spells of erysipelas. The doctors worked on my case continually but to no effect. At last a bad spell came on which seemed to be final, and my suffering was intense. The doctor treated me for three months straight. I was put on a diet and deprived of all my favorite dishes. After a time the conditions were greatly aggravated, and I was made to take hotwater baths. The water became gradually hotter, until the flesh was almost blistered. I was well-nigh starved, and was in misery. I was in complete darkness, and knew that I must have light soon or something would happen.

At last I grew a little better and was able to go out. I went to see my grandmother, who took me over to visit a Christian Science friend. She talked to me and explained many things that I never knew before. I asked to be treated, and was at once referred to a practitioner, to whom I went the next day and took a treatment. She told me to go home and eat anything I wished, which I did. In three weeks I was entirely healed and was never troubled again. I have had almost perfect health ever since.

Last spring I was troubled by a slight attack of pneumonia. I could not sleep, eat, or study. I kept on declaring the truth, and the third night of the attack I was suddenly seized by a strange fear. I kept up as long as I could, but at last I broke down completely. My mother was at the same time affected by the same fear and went to work at once. A practitioner was notified and took up the case. At six o'clock on the fourth night I was entirely healed.
