For over three years before I knew anything of Christian Science I was a hopeless sufferer from many diseases. I had been treated by some of the best physicians, and finding no permanent relief, I had almost given up in despair. During these three years of my burdensome life I was afraid to go on the streets alone, and many times I had to be helped back home. After my first treatment in Christian Science, I felt able to go out alone, and after one week's treatment I was almost entirely healed of all my diseases. Before knowing of this truth, as given us in Science and Health, I always felt worn and fatigued, and was scarcely able to do any work, but now I do more than I ever did in my life, knowing that God is my strength. For over three happy years I have been blessed with almost perfect health, and I give thanks to God for the day I accepted Christian Science, for in it I have found peace and rest. The Bible is a new book to me, and I love it more each day. I have had very many proofs that God is a present help in time of need. I have seen many wonderful cases of healing through this great Truth. I feel that I owe my life, my all, to this dear Cause.
