I have never expressed my love and gratitude for our literature, but I never read it that I do not feel deeply grateful. It has often caused me tears of joy to think of the pearls we find therein.

One time I saw in an article that the time would come when we would lean on divine Principle, instead of always looking to personality, so when an ailment presented itself that at a previous time had required the services of two doctors before relief was found, the thought came to me at once, "I wonder if I ought to have help for it," and I said, "No, the time has come for me to depend on God alone, and I know He does not want me to be in such bondage." The trouble was met instantaneously and has never returned.

At another time I read this thought in the Sentinel, that Christian Scientists have no right to feel discouraged, and now every time thoughts of discouragement present themselves this suggestion helps me very much.
