My healing from indigestion was slow, for it required more than a year. I suffered intense pain almost all the time, and I resolved that when I was healed I would write my experience. As it may be helpful to some to know that my ailment was overcome, I would say that when I went to my meals and saw something I wished to eat, fear would come up. Then I strove to realize that man has dominion over all the earth, and that I should not give a little fruit dominion over me, since it has neither intelligence nor power, for man has dominion (through God) over everything. This destroyed the fear, and when the fear was gone all suffering was also gone.
I write this in the hope that it will help some one else who may have slow healing and a consequent sense of discouragement. It is about four years since I was healed, and there has never been the slightest return of indigestion.
There is one thing more I wish to speak of. I had the pleasure and grand privilege of attending the Communion service at Boston in June, 1903, and I wish to thank the Scientists of Boston, for their kindness shown to those who came from a distance. I found everything prepared for my comfort when I arrived, and how complete the arrangements were for our accommodation when we went to Pleasant View to see our beloved Leader. God does bless her for giving to the world this truth which heals from sin, sickness, and sorrow.
