The Missouri Freemason

Christian Science frequently refers to the "errors of belief," and to illustrate what is meant we may say that if a person were to claim that twice two is five, we should all agree that it was a mere belief, that it is not true, and by applying science, or the truth of the principle of mathematics, to this conclusion (false belief) we destroy, or correct it, with the truth that twice two is four. Hence we see that it is not a mere exchange of beliefs, but the revelation of the truth destroying a false sense. Christian Science claims, and proves, that this same logic is applicable to all our human affairs, including all forms of sickness and sin, in keeping with the saying of the Master, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

The Christian Register says, "The great world puts all churches on trial just now. What are they worth in terms of human welfare and betterment?"
