What is Life?

To the Christian Scientist, life is the eternal consciousness of Being, the true individuality of existence.

We learn in Christian Science that God is Spirit, also Life, Truth, and Love, and it must follow that all reflected life is spiritual, in and of God, harmonious, and eternal.

Jesus said, "I am come that they might have Life, and that they might have it more abundantly," implying that the world had never known real Life, and what had been called life was only an illusion which ended in death. Science and Health teaches us that "Life is the law of Soul, even the law of the spirit of Truth; and Soul is never without its representative" (p. 427).
