The Genius and Teaching of Christian Science
Chicago Inter Ocean
Christian Scientists do not wish to boast of what they have done. Indeed, they recognize that, humanly speaking, they have done nothing, the God they worship, he "doeth all things well." Human superstition accepts the belief that it is natural for church work to lack funds, whereas Christian Science reveals that to manifest abundance in God's work is natural and proper.
In business, Christian Science makes men more accurate, apt, honest, kind, and considerate in all its relations. It is available daily, hourly, momentarily. It eliminates fatigue by destroying the cause of it. It enables men to take hold of problems with greater confidence than formerly, and to attain more immediate and better results with less expenditure of time and labor, and it relieves their work of the fear which so often hampers it. But above all, in Christian Science the law of God is discerned as a law that is equally good for all, and that nothing can be lost by conforming to that law, so that one is enabled to see the desirability of mutual concessions and mutual benefits in all transactions.
As for the artist or musician, his career is ennobled through Christian Science. He not only perceives more clearly the true basis of all art as a manifestation of divine Mind, but his ideals are made more tangible thereby and their accomplishment less remote. Besides this, Christian Science enables him to destroy all jealousy, envy, evil speaking, and other evils which often disfigure the artistic mind and prevent its full development.
