The Lectures

Judge William G. Ewing of Chicago, lectured last night [November 25] in the hall of Hill City Lodge on the subject of Christian Science. The hall was well filled, and judging by the close attention accorded the speaker, the audience found the lecture a very interesting one. Judge Ewing was introduced to the audience in a few appropriate words by Miss Mollie C. Langhorne, First Reader of the Christian Science Society of Lynchburg.—The News.

An audience of two or three hundred people assembled yesterday afternoon [December 28] at the Scottish Rite Cathedral to hear Judge Septimus J. Hanna of Boston deliver an address on Christian Science which was listened to with the closest attention by his hearers. The lecture was an exposition of the teachings and position of Christian Science. The audience was composed of many who do not belong to the Christian Scientist faith. The Hon. Edward F. Harris of this city (representative-elect to the state legislature) introduced the speaker.
