I cannot express in words how truly thankful I am for what Christian Science has done for me and for our home. Recently our little boy of eight years was taken with the mumps. At first the inconvenience of eating tried to fasten itself upon him, but we went into a room by ourselves, read from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and repeated the little prayer that our Mother has given to the children. In a short time all was harmonious. After a few times working in this way the trouble was entirely overcome and he suffered no pain whatever.

I was healed in five weeks' treatment of a trouble for which I had been treated by materia medica more than as many months without success. Strange as it may seem, I did not become a student of Christian Science until about two and a half years later, and many blessings have I received since that time.

One of the things that I am especially thankful for is the overcoming of fear, which I had always held over my children. There have been times when the seeming was dark indeed, but by the understanding of Truth the light was seen again.
