I can say from the depths of my heart, I thank God for His goodness to men, for a taste of the "Peace which passeth understanding," for a glimpse of the real and a proper sense of Him "whom to know aright is Life eternal."
I thank God for more love and patience, for a kindlier, more brotherly attitude toward all mankind, and for a willingness to obey Him. The path may sometimes be rough and the night dark, but Love illumines the way and the morning dawn is sure to be bright and clear if we are faithful.
I thank God for a demonstrable religion (I used to wonder if a practical religion could be found); for an exact knowledge of Him which means to each one the kingdom of heaven within.
