Christian Science Literature

There was little published but tales of woe,—sin, sickness, and death. I was an invalid and I was so troubled by hearing of nothing but the sorrows of my fellow-creatures, that it would often prostrate me, and my friends would carefully avoid speaking of such things in my presence. I would ask my growing boys not to read such things, but to read the Bible and good moral literature.
