What do we Obey?

It is not so much a question of disobedience — as to what are we obedient. Every moment of our life we are obedient to some thought and impulse. And to whatever we yield our allegiance — obedience— from that source will wages come, according to the coin of that realm. If fear, anger, duplicity, sin, the wages are after its kind, — sickness, dulness, stupidity, death. Obedience to Truth pays in courage, insight, hope, faith, understanding, that shows us but one realm and that real, the seeking of whose coin adds all other things unto us "for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things."

If you would advance in true holiness, you must aim steadily at perfection in little things.—Abbe Guillore.
