Wednesday Night Meeting at Ottawa, Ill.
ONE of the most pleasant and satisfactory meetings we have enjoyed during the winter was that of February 12. Among the testimonials offered was that of a gentleman who said:—
''There is a prevailing opinion among business men that Christian Science may be good enough for women and children, and for various types of imaginary troubles but that it is of no value to the every-day business man or for the so-called real physical troubles. I am pleased to testify that Christian Science is of great value to the business transaction or enterprise into which a man may enter, but that he can be greatly benefited by the principles of Christian Science, and he is consequently a better man in every respect, as a business man, physically, mentally, and morally.
Another gentleman spoke of his gratitude for a demonstration stration that occurred in his family a week ago that night. His daughter was lifting from the stove a jug of boiling, water; the confined steam forced the cork out and the water struck her full in the face, burning her quite severely. The pain was destroyed promptly through Science. She rested comfortably through the night and had not suffered with it since. She was present at the meeting with no apparent effects but that through Christian Science she was able to overcome a disposition to take cold. Previous to this year she had had five six bad colds each winter. Through the understanding of Science as taught by Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health she was able to overcome it and is now entirely free from such troubles. for which she is very thankful. The same lady read extracts from a letter received from a neighboring city stating that a lady who had been afflicted with a severe chronic trouble had been entirely cured by simply reading Science and Health.
