Christian Science Explained
The Record
Editor Record.
Dear Sir:—Christian Scientists have read with much regret the extraordinary misconceptions placed upon Christian Science by the Rev. Charles A. Tibbals in a sermon printed in a recent issue of your esteemed paper. In that sermon he not only misrepresented the teachings of Christian Science, unintentionally I have no doubt, but he also considered it necessary to repeat certain grave charges which have been categorically denied and disproven in public periodicals.
Christian Scientists have no bitterness in their hearts against any critics, but they cannot permit misrepresentations of their faith to be constantly repeated without placing the actual facts before the public. It is from a sense of justice, therefore, that I ask for space to correct the errors in the sermon in question.
