The Church
In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker G. Eddy, p. 574, church is defined as "The structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle."
Our mental conception of the church triumphant enables us to build the material structure, and the higher our conception of the perfect church, the more perfect our church militant will be.
We all desire a beautiful structure, but if in the desire and working for this, our spiritual conception becomes blurred or lost, what will the result be?—a house built on the sand. Love and Love alone builds the true church. In this building of Love is found a refuge from all evils. Purity is its foundation, the rock on which it stands.
