Christian Science Testimony

A Traveling man from Michigan called at the Christian Science reading rooms recently, and while there he gave glad testimony to the benefits he and his family had received from Christian Science. He had himself been lifted out of chronic invalidism into a new state of strength and usefulness. His wife had been restored after all had despaired of her recovery, and his son had been healed of asthma which had at times driven him to think of suicide to escape the suffering. The entire family, lifted out of sickness into health, is now rejoicing in the Truth that has set them free. "But, best of all," he said, "we have gained harmony, and been freed from discord. Realizing that there is but one Mind—the 'Mind that was in Christ Jesus'—we live in joyful harmony, with not a discordant note to mar our peace."

He said his first question on going to a town was, Is there a Christian Science reading room or society in it? and all his spare moments were spent there in converse with Christian Scientists or in the study of the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." The thought he expressed of living securely in divine Mind seemed the most helpful of all to me, for now that we know the falsity of all discords we surely can destroy them, whether they are named sickness or sin, anger or anguish. Since they are not in the divine Mind, while we dwell securely there they cannot enter or disturb our peace.
