The Open Door
Honesty opens the door to Truth. If we are dishonest, and not wishing to see things as they are and resenting when other people endeavor to present them in their true light, we shall not make much progress in uncovering the lie which is trying to deceive us, and keep us from realizing the Truth of Being, which frees us from all forms of error. Our thoughts and deeds must bear criticism, or else they are unsound. Let all unsoundness go. We want the Truth and nothing but the Truth, therefore we are only too glad if an unsound (untrue) thought or deed is uncovered. A true thought or deed is and can stand any amount of knocking about,—criticism, comment, and misunderstanding.
